One of my favorite quotes is “It took me seventy years to do a day’s worth of thinking about why I hated my job”. This quote goes back to a conversation I had once where I was at a loss for words, but I was able to come up with this light bulb idea that I thought made perfect sense.
This light bulb idea was something I had been thinking about for a long time. In fact, I’m quite an expert in the field of logic and reasoning. I’m also a fan of humor and wit. I think it is because I think it is a trait that can help us both become better people. When we stop to think about why we have certain beliefs and tendencies, we can then change our behavior. This light bulb idea really was a catalyst for this new blog post.
I recently read a book titled “The Myth of the Lightbulb” by C.S. Lewin. In the book, he outlines the ways in which we can become better people, and in particular how we can become more loving, compassionate, and accepting. He goes through a detailed list of ways to take care of ourselves, and gives a specific example of a man who was afraid of being in the public eye. His fear was that he would be ridiculed and hated.
I’ve been thinking about this for quite some time now, and have come up with a few things that I think would help. Maybe you could make a list of things you are afraid of, and then write down what you think the greatest thing about you is, then go to a group and talk about how you can overcome them. If you get bored, go to a meeting, but don’t leave your list of fears there.
I know this is going to sound like a strange idea, but I think that the first step is to realize that the fear of being in the public eye is very real. Most people are afraid of being judged and have the same fear of being ridiculed, so that’s the first step. Second is to realize that having the courage to say something to someone who needs to hear it is the most powerful thing in the world.

The second step is to realize that the courage to share something is the biggest thing in the world. For the majority of people, I think, the real danger is in being afraid to share something personal with someone. This is a fear of being judged or ridiculed. When the fear of being judged is strong enough, it can be paralyzing.
The main danger is when you don’t take the time to look within to where your fear is coming from. The fear is there, like a low-pitched hum. You don’t take it serious and then it comes out as loud and clear as the hum. The fear is not the sound, it’s the vibration.
The fear is the fear of being judged, and that’s where this fear will come from. Because it is there, it will pass through your brain and get you to a place where it is not what you expected.
Fear is often the first symptom of something going wrong and is the first thing that makes you look for a fix. Its like your body telling you to go get some water. You could be fine, but you might miss a few days or weeks because the water just doesnt feel right. If you are afraid of something and you look for a fix, you will find that this fear is what is making them feel this way.
